88 Years Perpetual Search Renascentia: Norman W. M. Ko Exhibition
88年尋之永恆： 高華文教授個人藝術展

14 February 2026 marked both the 88th birthday of Emeritus Professor Norman Ko Wah Man and the opening of his solo exhibition, 88 Years Renascentia, at the University of Hong Kong Libraries. Celebrating the multifaceted achievements of a true Renaissance man, the exhibition showcased over 100 items encompassing sculptures, paintings, photography, his lifelong research in fluid dynamics, and various academic accomplishments.

The exhibition extended from the 2/F exhibition area of the HKU Libraries to the Ko Wong Wai Ching Wendy Fine Arts Digital Library on 3/F, donated by Professor Ko in memory of his late wife.

In the 2/F exhibition area, 88 lady sculptures were arranged to form the shape of the number "88." Suspended above them were fabric installations featuring Professor Ko's hand-drawn sketches of birds. On the opposite side of the space, paintings were displayed alongside his fellowship certificates from several universities, as well as the various awards and honours he had received.

Inside the donated library on 3/F, Professor Ko's early underwater photographs were shown on digital screens, while physical prints were displayed on the floor. Also of note was a pair of fish sculpture models of Professor Ko, entitled Accend, donated by Professor Ko‘s student.

The exhibition was accompanied by a newly published book of the same title, chronicling Professor Ko's life at the intersection of science and art, and featuring photographs of his artworks.

2026年2月14日，適逢高華文教授八十八歲壽辰，其個人展覽「88 Years Renascentia」同日於香港大學圖書館隆重揭幕。展覽彰顯了這位「文藝復興人」的多元成就，展出逾一百件展品，涵蓋雕塑、繪畫及攝影作品，以及其畢生在流體動力學領域的研究成果與各項學術殊榮。

展覽由香港大學圖書館二樓展覽區延伸至三樓之高黃慧貞藝術電子圖書館——此館乃高教授為紀念其已故夫人而捐贈。

二樓展覽區內，八十八座淑女雕塑排列成「88」字樣，上方懸掛著印有高教授手繪雀鳥素描的布藝裝置。展區另一側則陳列其繪畫作品，以及多所大學頒授的院士證書與其所獲之各項獎項及榮譽。

三樓捐贈圖書館內，高教授早期的水下攝影作品以電子屏幕展示，實體照片則陳列於地面。此外亦展出了一對由高教授捐贈、題為「Accend」的飛魚雕塑模型。

展覽同期出版了同名書籍，記述高教授融匯科學與藝術的人生故事，並收錄其藝術作品的圖片。
